Frustrated with Quarantine?
Hi all-
This past week has been kind of a rough week as I'm seeing that many people are getting frustrated with being quarantined. I see lots of fear, hate, aggravations, and distrust of people, the situation, and the government. Since this is a pandemic which means every nation has this virus, than we shouldn't even consider this is about politics or our rights into the mix of things. Neither should we be pointing fingers at our leaders as this is new to them and not something that was ever planned to happen. I believe that the only thing right now whether or not you want to believe our freedoms are being taken away or this is just another strain of flu, there is nothing that we can do about it. We're vulnerable for the first time in our lives for most of us. This isn't like a war where you will win either way. Like it or not it's out of our control. So, who do we look to when we need something to be under control, our belief's in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We all need to do some reflecting at this time within our self, our family, and most importantly our faith, or lack there of, in God. What I have learned the most through this past week is that this isn't about me, but about all of the world being united in prayer for the common goal of healing our land. We need to love, focus, and heal right now. Only speak encouragement with laughter and love.
Even though you may be frustrated with the government, God does say this about following the government and the leaders.

Romans 13 NKJV
Submit to Government
13 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
Love Your Neighbor
8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Put on Christ
11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
Let's all keep our prayers going, lifting each other up to God. I love you all and look forward to a better week. If you don't know how to pray for this pandemic, look at my previous blogs on this page and use one of those prayers. If you have any prayer requests please email me or comment on this page if you'd like. I will be doing a bible time and prayer time this week on my Youtube channel, which I will let you all know when that goes up to view. Peace be with you and many blessings!
In Christ's love,
Pastor Jean Marie
