Thank #God For Those That Surround You #Reflection & #Prayer

This year, I am #thankful for those around me.  No matter what the situation is or how you feel about those close or even not so close to you, we need to forgive and forget.  We all make mistakes in our lives and usually end up hurting those we love the most.  So, let us reflect on the things that are the best in those we love and continue to love them through every situation.  Life is too short not to be with those you love.

The past month I haven't wrote a lot, as I have lost a couple of dear people in my life.  The first was a dear friend who had been suffering with lung cancer.  We were only one month apart in age.  She lost her battle with cancer, the night before her 45th birthday and went home with the Lord.  I was able to see her a week before she left us and am thankful for the time we shared while she was alive.  She is now celebrating with Jesus, although we miss her we know that she has no more pain and we will see her again.

Then this past weekend, I lost my mother in law, who was like a second mother to me.  She was older but it was quite the surprise to the family.  Today we said our good byes in a small service with the family at her church.  What  a blessing to go in your sleep, as she did, with no pain.  We appreciate the minister for easing her passing as a blessing of her life & legacy she left for us and not one of grief and sorrow.  The legacy that she left us was one that was humble, with much love and compassion.  I can only pray that I follow in her examples.  Again she will be missed greatly, but never forgotten and seen soon in eternity with much rejoicing.

My reflection for today is this scripture:

Psalms 107:21&22

Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
22 Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving,
And declare His works with rejoicing.

I believe in thanking God for everything.  So let's reflect through this holiday with thanking God for every inch of our being and every part of our family.  Let's praise Him for the gift of life.

Prayer:

Thank You, Lord, for those who surround us in our lives.  Be with them we pray, bless them and keep them safe in Jesus' Name.

Guide us, dear Lord, into your forgiveness and love everlasting, that we may learn to be forgiving to those whom we respect and love.  Help us to see the blessings that the people who surround us give and not their short comings.

Let our path be a light onto everyone we meet, so there won't be one person in this life that we can't reach for you.  Help us to plant the seeds of love and salvation, so that You can help that seed grow within each person we come into contact with.  Let us be a Beacon of Your compassion and Mercy, Oh Lord, that will help in guiding those into the light eternal.

Make us an example of Your Word, God.  Thank You for everything and everyone that You have and will bless our lives with.

In the Mighty Name of Jesus,

AMEN
